I'm Clara

i'm a dirty martini sipping, kimchi-loving nurse practitioner and digital content creator.

By training, I'm a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and my passion for empowering and building relationships with patients is exemplified by my work in various specialties of reproductive health, ranging from postpartum care, labor & delivery and gynecology. In my four years working as a labor & delivery nurse Northside Hospital, one of the busiest Labor and Delivery units in the nation, I also served as a nurse preceptor mentoring the next generation of nurses.

While I've spend the last 7 years working in healthcare, I’ve been sharing my life on social media for over 12 years! It all started as a way to document my weight loss journey, which sparked the journey to discover my identity - which I’m learning is a life-long process.

I call Atlanta my home and love golfing and trying the newest restaurants with my husband, Caleb. We love long walks to Buford Hwy and cuddling with our pups, Louis and Pepper.

I believe in curating a life and identity for yourself outside of your career.

It all started with my journey into nursing - and continues today.

This is a concept that can feel revolutionary (and luxurious) to so many of us, especially to my fellow children of immigrants. I'll be the first to admit that it's a daily, intentional choice to separate who you are at the core from what you do for a paycheck, but an effort that is worth it.

MY PROCESS

The Experience

As I journey through my life, it's natural for me to experience various places, products and feelings. As a nurse practitioner who has experienced career development, doubt, affirmation alongside patient care experiences, I have been exposed to so many life-changing and life altering scenarios. As a woman of color and first generation immigrant, I have a unique perspective of life.

The Growth

There's something to be said about experiencing a multitude as I wear many hats. But what's surprised me the most about it all is that so many themes and lessons learned are intertwined and have common themes. This part allows me to digest and process unique experiences to take it to the next step. After all, the only constant in life is change, and how we adapt and react to the things we experience change us for the better.

The Influence

This is the most exciting (and terrifying) part of the process - to fully embrace every emotion and reaction of each experience and make it my own to inspire and empower you. I don't take my influence for granted and trust that my story is portrayed in the most authentic, truthful way by way of social media and digital content.
